When we live in the present moment, we are free to make anything happen. By abandoning the past and forgetting what we already know about the future, we invite miracles, and blessings into our life and inject them into the areas where we are lacking light.
What we “know” forms a type of energetic blueprint which conducts how energy will enter our lives. On a spiritual level, this determines whether our consciousness is heightened or lowered by an event or situation. Or, what we make of a “situation” and “extract” from it. On the physical level, this is manifested by our ability to listen to others, such as our ability to comprehend and listen to lessons and teachings.
This type of knowledge is the foundation of our perception and the way we think. If we imagine all the information that is to be known or ever known is like a river of light streaming through our world, what we already “know” determines the type of “data” we can tap into. Our energetic edifice, which is constructed by our physical actions (our karma) in this world, attracts the type and amount of information and energy we obtain.
Within this stream of energy can be a brilliant idea, or the impulse to be somewhere at the perfect time. When we invite knowledge into our life and allow it to come and go as needed without grasping onto it, we advance and discover fulfillment. However, when we grasp onto knowledge, hoard it, solidify it, and apply it to everything dogmatically, we erect blockages and make it impossible for us to remain in the present moment.
We are robbed from the present, because we are concerned with the past and future. In this state of blockage, whenever we receive knowledge, we project it onto the future as if we are the authority of what is going to happen. We think “we can’t make it”, we think “it can’t be done”, we think “it won’t work”, we think “it will take away from us”, we think “it will fail”, we think “it will hurt us”, we think “we will be left behind”, we think “we will be forgotten”, we think all kinds of things what keep us trapped in the illusion of “i think, therefore i know”.
Here is the basic lesson we can learn from this:
When we look at the areas of our life which are lacking blessings or miracles, we will find that there is an entire system of beliefs, theories, and opinions blocking the positive flow of energy from entering.
There is some, or many, areas of our life where we have recurring failures or a lack of light. When looking with an honest eye, we will find that in these areas, we have established theories, opinions, ideas and dogmas (aka blockages) of what is going on and how they will be resolved.
If we truly have the desire to change these situations and invite light into these dark areas, we need to be willing to let go of what we think we know, our theories, opinions, experiences, etc., because they have proven to not serve this area. Once we are willing to change and to invite new miraculous information, there is an exercise we can practice so that we can begin to attract helpful friends and environments which will reflect our new found attitude.
Exercise: Thinking outside of the box.
When you feel stuck, or if you start to stink like a know-it-all, you need to air out your mind. A focused walk will release the “i know it all” perspective. On this walk, do not think or talk about problems. One of the greatest points is to get acquainted with our environment and appreciate it for whatever it may be. Recognize that there is a system, which is in charge of the pace and timing of everything in existence and which is much greater than our small “i”, and that by trying to control others, we distance ourselves and limit what can happen. This walk can also be accompanied by inhaling the blend gemini, awareness or focus. Once you feel grounded or present, you can be certain you have moved from the head - into the body.
