The Week of Equanimity
Using harmony to destroy laziness.
This week we will dedicate our sense of harmony and beauty to create endurance. This means that we give up all our excuses and forget all negotiations we have made with our ego.
Endurance teaches us to pursue in spite of difficulty, and when we have something to live for, we need to dedicate our energy to that cause. We have the opportunity this week to purify ourselves of laziness and excuses which keep us from moving forward.
As we purify laziness, interruptions and disturbances will fade away so that we can focus on being chariots of the truth. When we are successful, our reward will be to have the fuel for whatever we need to accomplish.
May 1, 2018: Day 15 of Week 3 - Equanimity teaches us that everything strives toward enlightenment, and that we can assist others on their path to getting there.
May 2, 2018: Day 16 of Week 3 - Equanimity does not mean that we are to treat every person the “same”, but rather equally. For example, if a child falls and scrapes his knee, we put on a bandaid but if she breaks a leg we call 911. In both cases we equally helped but not the “same” way - today we let go of dogmatic enforcements and look at what each individual needs.
May 3, 2018: Day 17 of Week 3 - This is the day of balance. balance is not defined by “us”, it is defined by our karma.
May 4, 2018: Day 18 of Week 3 - Wanting a break from spirituality, is like wanting a break from being beautiful, having beautiful things and happiness.
May 5, 2018: Day 19 of Week 3 - The best beauty treatment is humility. Or, the most beautiful are the humble.
May 6, 2018: Day 20 of Week 3 - Union is absolutely required to attain a state of equanimity. Knowing that we are all connected sets the foundation of how strong we can connect to the wealth of energy and power available to us.
May 7, 2018: Day 21 of Week 3 - Our world experiences an absence of equanimity. Treating each person respectfully, is true equanimity.
